Its standard engine is a strong-but-efficient V6, but there's also an optional V8 with plenty of towing power and a turbocharged diesel V6 that sets the standard for fuel economy in the class. Although the Ram misses the class-leading towing numbers by a few hundred pounds, it's still abundantly capable. One of the Ram's biggest strengths is its excellent engine lineup. Our family expectations are that this Rebel will continue to take us where we want and need to go in comfort and with capabilities.
on backroads at 45-55 mph still nets 20-22 mpg however city/town travel or getting on the Hemi cuts MPG significantly to 14-16 mpg but again we appreciate the sound and effect of the Hemi when accelerating. It is a very valuable and convenient feature. We still get comments regarding the value of the bed divider. The entire family appreciate this feature.
With increasing age (me not the truck) comes mobility issues that make the height adjustment even more appreciated. Tires are still passing inspections with ample tread. They are very helpful when packing up for trips and keeping quickly needed items at hand. Ram Box system is a great system that keeps long-term storage items out of sight and secure. The Rebel comes equipped with load stabilization that makes the hitch … process easier. Vacation means towing the 25 ft grand design Travel trailer. The Ram is still a favorite when weather gets dicey or something needs towed. Not a fair comparison but it does speak to the comfort of the - now- 6 year old Ram. The Rebel Now competes with the 2019 RAV4 Hybrid for the family favorite for longer drives.
